New Product Introduction

CGN Global’s New Product Introduction (NPI) service is a proven methodology toward helping organizations launch new programs from Phase Zero to start of production. 4 steps to ensure a world class introduction of new products.

NPI
  1. Voice of the Customer/ Product - the initial phase of NPI validates the Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Product using techniques such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Boundary Diagrams and more
  2. Design for Manufacturability/ Assembly – an integral step for the NPI team to ensure that the DFMEA translates into a Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) which integrates into the unfolding of the APQP process
  3. Validation and Test Planning – a phase 1 activity that bridges the design and the prototype; the pilot builds using engineering input for durability and reliability compliance
  4. Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) – the industry defined constructs that take the new part introduction process into start of production with a focus on quality and reliability
